Mid Penn Electric was founded in 2016 by Brian Ward, a licensed electrician with more than twenty years of experience in the trade. But the story behind the business goes deeper than a resume.
Built on a Calling, Not Just a Career
Brian came up through trade school and spent two decades honing his craft before going out on his own. He loves the work — the problem-solving, the precision, the satisfaction of leaving a home safer and more functional than he found it. But when he started Mid Penn Electric, the motivation ran deeper than professional ambition.
Brian started this business with his son in mind. He wanted to build something he could pass down — a real, lasting trade that his son could grow into from a young age. Not something handed off to a classroom or left to chance, but something built together, through direct mentorship and shared work. Brian believes it is his responsibility as a father to disciple and train his son himself, to pass on the virtues that matter: hard work, honesty, integrity, and ingenuity. His hope is that Mid Penn Electric will support his family for generations and serve as a living example of what those values look like in practice.

How We Work
We focus on residential electrical service for homeowners in Lebanon, Lancaster, and Dauphin counties. Our work covers the full range of what a home needs — from small repairs and fixture replacements to panel upgrades, kitchen and bathroom renovations, EV charger installations, whole-home generator connections, and more. No job is too straightforward to deserve our best attention, and no project is too involved to take on with care.
We believe that relationships come first.
